Getting started
From an empty account to the first measured keywords, and what happens in between.
Opening an account
Sign up at app.ersaso.com/register with a workspace name, an e-mail address and a password. You will get a confirmation link; opening it proves the address is yours.
Once the address is confirmed you can sign in: a new workspace starts on the Free plan and opens on its own. Only during a wave of automated sign-ups may new accounts be reviewed by hand first; you then get a second e-mail when yours is ready, and until then sign-in stays closed even with the correct password. Paid plans are set up by e-mail.
Adding your first app
The wizard asks for a package name and walks through five steps. Nothing is written until the last one, so you can leave halfway and nothing is left behind.
- Your app — paste the package name (com.example.app) and pick the store. The listing is read once so you can confirm it is the right app.
- Suggested competitors — the strongest terms from your own listing are searched in Play and the apps that come back are offered. Pick the ones that really compete with you.
- Competitors — add any others by package name.
- Keywords — candidate terms pulled out of your listing text. None are selected by default; tick the ones you want to track.
- Review — everything you picked, in one list. Saving writes the app, the competitors and the keywords together.
The store and the language are chosen as a pair. The language is hidden behind a small link because the store usually decides it; open it only if your listing is in a different language than the store default.
If two days after confirming your address the workspace still has no app, the owner gets one reminder e-mail with these steps. It is sent once, and not at all once an app is added.
What happens after you save
Rank measurement tasks are queued immediately, so the first positions usually arrive within the hour rather than waiting for the night. Everything after that runs on the nightly cycle.
The app overview fills in stages: ranks first, then the ASO score once the listing has been read, then difficulty once enough of the apps ranking above you have been measured. A blank number means not measured yet, not zero.
When you add an app, the person who added it gets one e-mail once its first measurements are in: how many tracked keywords rank in the top 50 and top 10, the best three positions, and the category rank. If some keywords are still being measured after six hours, the e-mail goes out anyway and says how many are left. There is nothing to subscribe to, and the e-mail is sent only once per app.
What to do this week
The app overview opens with a short, numbered list of actions for that app — not a repeat of the numbers above it, but the next step: which keyword to push, which words are missing from your title, what the listing audit would fix first, whether your text has gone stale while competitors kept editing theirs.
Every line links to the surface where the work happens, and the order is a judgement rather than an alphabet: a listing that has not been read in full comes first because coverage and the ASO score are built on it; a keyword sitting just outside the first page comes next because moving from #14 to #9 pays more than moving from #40 to #1; tidying up dead weight comes last because it is housekeeping.
Nothing here is a new measurement. It reads what the nightly cycle already collected, sends no request to Google Play and stores nothing. When the list is empty it says why — "no tracked keywords yet" and "nothing sits just outside the first page" are different answers.
Where to go next
- Keywords — the pool for this app, with three tabs: what you track, what is already measured, and where to find more.
- Competitors — who you are up against, and which of their keywords you are missing.
- Metadata — your live listing with a coverage matrix over your target keywords.
- Notifications — where to send rank drops and listing changes.
